Support Services

HopeCare has aimed to provide support services to clients since 2002. Starting off with emergency food assistance and providing hot meals, we now offer a range of food services that reach all over the Central West. In addition, we provide one on one support to people needing assistance with financial literacy, counselling, energy bills and advocacy.

Emergency Food

We provide emergency food parcels free of charge. These hampers suit the needs of the client, for example a family or a person suffering from homelessness.

Hope Care Community Cafe

The Café operates 11AM-1PM every weekday at HopeBathurst church, 200 Gilmour St Kelso

HopeCare Community Pantry

A low cost community pantry service. Open on Wednesdays between 10am and 12:00pm, this service allows clients to purchase groceries in a mock supermarket setting for a fraction of the retail cost.

Food Rescue Central West

Food Rescue Central West (FRCW) is a group made up of food relief charities all across the Central West. This project is unique in NSW and we are setting the standard for agency co-operation and regional food rescue. 

Energy bill assistance

Hope Care is a provider of the EAPA scheme to assist clients with electricity and gas bills. EAPA is a scheme funded by the NSW State Government and is administered by accredited EAPA Provider agencies with trained and accredited EAPA assessors.

Financial counselling and 

Financial counselling is an in depth counselling process designed to help clients better understand their financial situation, to empower them to make informed financial choices whilst helping them achieve their financial goals.

Budgeting support

Budgeting support involves the client providing information about their income and expenses in order to help them gain perspective on their financial situation and help them develop useful strategies to achieve their goals.
